NMC Level 1 or 2 and recent experience of nursing patients with palliative care needs or oncology would be essential as is the experience of caring for families and patients facing the challenge of terminal illness. As a Staff Nurses you will need to have excellent communication skills to enable you to discuss difficult end of life issues and to confidently liaise with other healthcare professionals at all levels. A compassionate manner and a responsible, mature attitude are also essential.
