The role
The University of Bristol has an opportunity for a dynamic, experienced and multi-skilled hospitality & catering manager to lead a team overseeing and developing our events, conference and catering offering. The role will suit someone who has experience managing a team delivering high-end and large events, training a team in standards, is commercially minded and able to develop on trend offers to grow revenue opportunities.
What will you be doing?
You will oversee the team delivering our catering, conferences and events around the university to students, staff and external clients; including but not limited to fine-dining, banqueting, day conferences, residential schools, sports events, pop-up kitchens & bars, BBQs, student formals, milk delivery and graduations. You will work closely with department leadership to achieve the departments and universitys commercial goals, ensuring we showcase world class standards expected of the institution.
You should apply if:
* Extensive experience and knowledge of catering and hospitality food service, coupled with experience in a similar role running events.
* Great communicator and able to care for and develop your team.
* Highly organised with excellent computer literacy skills including operating knowledge of Microsoft office and the ability to understand and use other software packages.
* Experience working with P&Ls and developing offers.
* Hold a personal Licence.
* Hold the relevant qualifications in food safety and health & safety.
* Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have held a driving licence for 2 years or more.
