As a Platform Engineer you will deliver professional engineering expertise for the Steriles Business Unit (SBU) to ensure the demonstrated design, installation and performance is maintained and continuously improved during the operational life cycle of the equipment. You will also ensure that business driven improvements upgrades, modifications and adaptations are implemented to meet their quality and performance targets under the direction of the Engineering Operations Manager and across multiple equipment Platforms (e.g., Manufacture, Filling, Assembly, Packaging).
In this role you will…
* Responsible for developing a sound and thorough understanding of the equipment, plant, and processes across the areas of responsibility.
* Responsible for the development and delivery of a scope of engineering activities (maintenance, equipment improvement and projects) working collaboratively with Engineering Planning functions, Capital Projects and Business Unit operational teams. Leading groups of technicians or contractors as required to execute the delivery of these projects.
* Responsible for the development and delivery of Continuous Improvement (CI) for safety, quality and cost of waste in SBU.
* Responsible for ensuring root causing and problem solving are carried out when required and corrective and preventative actions are implemented. This includes ownership and support for deviation investigations.
* To provide clear leadership, development, and direction for front line staff by identifying opportunities and sharing knowledge to continue up skilling of engineering technicians and production operations staff and to embrace and coach the team in the use of GPS tools and lean principles.
* Use Gemba to identify abnormalities or improvement opportunities in machine performance, work with operational teams to generate and implement actions.
* Lead Machinery Safety, Process Safety and DI (Data Integrity) activities in SBU engineering, you will be responsible for audit fronting of technical subjects.
Why you?
Qualifications & Skills:
* Significant experience working in cGMP or other highly regulated operational engineering or project delivery team.
* In depth and technical understanding of key processes and equipment within SBU. i.e Isolator technology, device assembly, etc.
* Experience leading and supporting revenue/capital projects within a complex, highly regulated operational area.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Hold a degree in an engineering discipline (or working towards).
* Project management and leading improvement activities, initiating and taking ownership of ideas.
