Special Arrangements Invigilator
The Special Arrangements Invigilator works under the supervision of a Senior Invigilator to support the running of the exams in these venues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as invigilator under the supervision of the Senior Invigilator:
- Assist with setting up the exam room
- Maintain exam conditions (including the exam room, student rest break room, corridors and toilets)
- Ensure that students’ reasonable adjustments are implemented
- Ensure exam scripts and materials are collected at the end of the exam
Hours/availability:
Morning invigilation slots start at 8.25am and afternoon invigilation slots start at 1.25pm. University of Reading exams vary in length from 1 to 3 hours and most students with reasonable adjustments are allowed extra time and/or rest breaks, so finishing times will vary.
Most exams for students with reasonable adjustments are finished by 6pm but occasionally an invigilator may need to work later than this.
Invigilators must remain on duty until the end of the exam they are covering.
Rate of pay:
£12.31 per hour + holiday Pay
