Exciting Role for an Experienced Legal Secretary in Personal Injury

Role Responsibilities:
1. Prepare correspondence and documents through audiotyping and word processing.
2. Administer filing, including daily filing and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
3. Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch as needed.
4. Arrange for copying tasks, either personally or through an admin assistant.
5. Schedule appointments, arrange meetings, and manage fee earner diaries.
6. Provide support to other secretaries and the administration team.
7. Attend to clients both in person and on the telephone, offering professional and friendly support.
8. Ensure the confidentiality of all firm and client documentation and information.
9. Uphold the firm’s 4-service promise, delivering excellent levels of client care.
Essential Criteria:
1. Demonstrable legal secretarial experience, particularly within personal injury or civil litigation.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
3. Excellent command of English spelling, punctuation, and grammar (testing may occur at interview).
4. Strong word processing and audio typing skills.
5. Professional and friendly telephone manner, with excellent customer service skills.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Familiarity with the Proclaim case management system.
2. Audio typing speed of 65+ words per minute.
3. Experience working with court forms and creating pleadings.
4. Experience with digital dictation, ideally Big Hand.
