Tezlom are recruiting a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker who can provide people with flexible packages of support and have experience working with substance abuse.
The service can provide a variety of supported living arrangements, including: individual homes, shared supported houses and extra care services and within the community.
As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker some of the duties will include:
1. Developing domestic and life skills (house-keeping, shopping, cooking, cleaning, personal care etc.);
2. Conduct assessments to evaluate the severity and nature of a client's substance misuse or addiction
3. Delivering excellent drug and alcohol services to service users and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
4. Offer practical guidance and strategies for relapse prevention and developing healthier coping mechanisms
5. Managing a case load, coordinating, and delivered assessment and evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning.
6. Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
7. Managing their money, including paying bills;
8. Support to attend college, work placements and other activities;
9. Accompaniment to appointments;
10. Socialising and meeting new people;
11. Help accessing other services;
12. Travel training;
