Teaching Personnel are working closely with an excellent primary school in the OL2 area who are seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant due to an increase in class sizes and SEN pupil uptake. Within this role, you will work with pupils either on a 1:1 basis or within the main classroom, supporting them socially and emotionally as well as academically. You will work with other staff including teaching assistants, teachers and SLT to ensure the pupil has the individualised support that they need. You will also provide feedback to parents and carers about the pupil’s progress.
Main responsibilities:
* Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
* Assist with classroom activities and educational programmes
* Help students with personal care needs, if required
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
* Prepare learning materials and resources

* Understanding of different learning styles and needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Patience and empathy towards students
