Job Description
What will you be doing?
* Support of the project team and the project manager within a new development project
* Product costings
* Simultaneous Engineering with supplier and internal manufacturing
* Scheduling of tasks to meet milestones according to target baseline
* Coordination of tasks related to different departments within the company (Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Assembly, Testing, etc.)
* Summarising and presenting information for key stakeholders (e.g. senior leadership)
* Preparing project Quality Gates
* Co-ordinating and planning workshops (e.g. innovation, cost)
* Assist with logistics around supply of prototype parts
* Work on cost reduction tasks which improve the company profit margin on currently released products.
* Support ramp-up of new business.
* Assist in the development for PEP projects by working with other departments to achieve milestones through continuous support and simultaneous engineering
* Assist in achievement of target costs and requirements
* Drive cost reduction tasks to improve profitability of existing products.
* Drive customer projects to completion
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
* Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
* Proven project management experience
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
* Work experience, ideally within product development projects or other engineering projects
* Strong leadership skills
* Problem solving abilities
