About the COOK/CHEF role
As a respected and highly valued member of our team, you will prepare and deliver highly nutritional meals for children birth to six years. Be required to order food supplies in line with your menus and within service budget. You will have great communication and keep the Centre Community updated with the menus and what's happening in the kitchen on Storypark and in person. This role is a permanent, part-time professional opportunity to make a meaningful difference. If you are also Early Childhood qualified (Certificate 3 or Diploma) this could expand your role at our service.

About You
As the successful applicant, you will be a cook with some experience. You will be preparing and providing a variety of nutritious meals to all our children. Be part of a happy, team environment, willing to do professional development to learn new skills and further your knowledge. If you are a qualified child care educator, that would also mean we could expand your hours within the service.
You will have the following:
* You will be flexible with hours Monday - Friday.
* Exceptional communication skills
* Be skillful in developing healthy and nutritious rotating menus for children, including children with allergies and intolerances.
* Be reliable, motivated and enthusiastic towards the centre and their role as cook.
* Be experienced in bulk meal preparation
* Able to cater to individual child requirements including allergies, dietary requirements and needs
* Have great time management skills and be confident managing a kitchen.
* Full First Aid and CPR certificates
* Current Working With Children Check
* Food Safety Certificate
* Any other associated Food/Kitchen/Cook qualifications you have
