Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Band 7 Respiratory Specialist Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team covering Dartford and Gravesend with a base at Livingstone Community Hospital in Dartford.
The Respiratory Specialist Nurse will work as an independent practitioner delivering high quality Respiratory Nursing care to a specific caseload of patients, improving their quality of life, promoting excellence of health and independence within the community, preventing inappropriate hospital admissions, and facilitating early discharge, as well as provide education and health promotion.
The service runs Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with no requirement to work weekends or bank holidays.
Main Responsibility
You will be responsible for the following:
1. To work in partnership with The Clinical Service Manager to deliver organisational objectives, bringing to the partnership professional knowledge, expertise and influencing skills to transform care, continually improve quality and support performance targets.
2. To lead on Clinical Governance for the service and support the achievement of clinical and non-clinical performance measures, in conjunction with the Clinical Service Manager.
3. To work with the Clinical Service Manager to ensure the service delivers up to date, evidence-based practice on relevant professional and clinical matters.
4. Provide care, advice, and guidance in the treatment of others, when dealing with complex highly specialist respiratory conditions.
5. Provide clinical expertise and knowledge to others when managing complex and highly complex situations.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
1. Be a registered nurse with an active NMC Pin
2. Have experience of management and clinical leadership
3. Have a degree or equivalent work-based experience
4. Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
5. Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
