GBR Recruitment Ltd in Lincoln are recruiting for an experienced time-served Electrical Contracts Manager (M&E) to work in a senior management capacity for a well-respected highly progressive Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor.
This M&E Building Services client operates locally across Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire & East Midlands, working on behalf of a large variety of clients within the Commercial, Education, Industrial, Retail, Health Care, Blue Light sectors, plus other Private & Public sectors. This key role involves overseeing projects from inception to completion, including winning new work and managing delivery. You will also manage Electrical Engineers to deliver high-quality complex electrical installations for small SMEs, major national businesses, and local authority organisations, with project values ranging from GBP 1,000 to GBP 1M in contract value.
You will successfully lead the Electrical team (M&E / MEP) to deliver 5-star standard Electrical & Mechanical projects OTIF, with a focus on high-end customer satisfaction, quality of workmanship, and commercial viability.
You will be an Electrical Guru, experienced in delivering Electrical Installation works to high-quality standards, with strong experience in winning contracts, setting up contracts, and running them to full completion/client handover. You should be seasoned in electrical building services contract delivery (as part of an M&E team) working across Commercial, Industrial & Healthcare premises, as well as other working environments.
Experience of working directly with clients as a main M&E contractor, as well as delivering M&E sub-contracting services to other building contractors/M&E companies, would be ideal, as the client works with a mix of both, delivering M&E projects OTIF.
Electrical Contract Manager Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards.
* Draft, negotiate, and revise contracts, supporting tender bids, ensuring that all contracts are accurate and relevant documentation is correct and updated when necessary.
* Project planning, project costings, procurement.
* Involvement in technical drawings, M&E design, and production of handover O&M documentation.
* Develop and maintain robust client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
* Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
* Monitor and track M&E projects' progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
* Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
* Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management.
Required Electrical & Contract Management Skills:
* Strong Electrical Contract Management experience within M&E or other.
* Some AutoCAD knowledge & experience using it would be a benefit.
* Electrical Engineering Level 3 / 4 qualification, with an ECS / CSCS card.
* Experience in negotiating commercially viable & profitable contracts, including pricing of works, tenders, contract bids, sub-contractor rates approval, supplier rates approval, etc.
* Methodical & organised approach to work, computer literate, confident person ideal.
* Able to provide MEP Technical guidance & advice to the team, clients & suppliers.
* Gas Safe Qualified.
* Able to pass Enhanced DBS check & Police Vetting.
* Comfortable working from the Lincolnshire office & out in the field on client sites within a 50-mile radius.
* Adaptable & flexible with MEP work tasks in a small team.
