TalentEdge are supporting a leading and award-winning business in the Leyland area in finding a new addition to their finance team. This is a newly created, permanent Accounts Assistant role to join their team of 4 due to expansion. This is an all-round role, assisting all members of the finance team when required, therefore a good opportunity to learn all areas of accounts. Your responsibilities will include: Processing purchase ledger invoices and receipting in Checking invoices which arrive in the Accounts Payable inbox Providing cover to the PL supervisor when on annual leave, covering statement recs, queries processing supplier payments and dealing with incoming calls from suppliers Learning and understanding the AR function how this is carried out by the credit controller and providing holiday cover Ad-hoc account reconciliations Credit card statement reconciliation Reporting on stock Experience in a previous accounts assistant, purchase ledger or sales ledger role is essential.
