Overview
We are seeking 5 dedicated and hardworking Fridge Warehouse Operatives to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation in their warehouse by efficiently handling various tasks related to inventory management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The start date for this role will be ASAP.
Duties
* Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required.
* Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, ensuring quality control.
* Load and unload materials from lorries and containers, maintaining safety protocols.
* Utilise AS400 or other warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock.
* Conduct materials handling tasks, ensuring items are stored correctly within the warehouse.
* Operate forklifts safely to transport goods around the warehouse as needed.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
* Maintain an organised and clean work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
* Proficient in heavy lifting techniques and physically capable of handling demanding tasks.
* Experience in picking and packing processes within a warehouse setting.
* Familiarity with load unloading procedures for various types of goods.
* Knowledge of AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of materials handling best practices.
* Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
* Competence in building pallets for shipping purposes.
* Experience in shipping and receiving operations is beneficial.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in a busy warehouse environment.
Working hours
* Monday to Friday
* Afternoon shift 14.00pm - 22.00pm
Hourly pay
* £11.48 between 2pm-8pm
* £13.31 between 8pm-10pm
