The Role:
My mainstream secondary school client based in the City of Oxford is actively seeking an experienced and knowledgeable English Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time permanent basis, with the scope for the right candidate to lead the department. To be successful, you will need excellent organizational skills and passion to plan and mark English lessons across key stages 3 to 5. Additionally, you will require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for this role. In taking on departmental leadership you will be responsible for directing and mentoring one of the school’s leading departments.
The School:
This school boasts a well resourced and dedicated English department, with students’ results in this subject amongst the best in the school. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced English teachers who may be looking to take on additional responsibility and for existing Heads of English. This position pays a salary across the main and upper pay scales depending on the successful English Teacher’s experience £31,650 - £49,084 per annum, with a TLR available for taking on departmental leadership responsibilities.
