We are currently looking for a Contract Manager in Sunderland to focus on contract support across their facilities.

Client is a leading infrastructure solutions business and operator of several critical UK energy sites.
Person Background:
Manage contracts for various projects, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and third parties to secure favourable agreements. Draft legal documents that outline terms of service and project deliverables.
What will be involved?
1. Develop and present commercial project proposals.
2. Draft and advise on contract terms from negotiations through to execution.
3. Review and formalize contractual requirements, ensuring timely submission of notices (e.g., Early Warnings, Compensation Events/Variations, Extensions of Time).
4. Manage, mitigate, and resolve contract and subcontract disputes.
5. Monitor and assess the performance of commercial activities using key metrics.
6. Prepare detailed reports for the board of directors, offering insights on commercial progress and challenges.
7. Support strategic decision-making to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in a role within the Construction and Engineering Sector.
2. Commercially astute, understands the competitive market and manages risk - commercial, operational, and financial.
3. Understanding of varied Contract Forms (NEC, MF1, JCT, Yellow book etc.) including bespoke drafting.
4. Highly organised and able to prioritise workload.
5. Adhere to the business's core values through working relationships, attitude, and behaviour.
6. Ability to travel (Hybrid working policy).
