To oversee the inbound and outbound movement of the companys products (raw materials inbound and finished goods outbound), management and organisation of the Dispatch Warehouse to ensure efficient and timely fulfilment of omni-channel orders for finished goods as well as Parts & Accessories (EU Distributor/Dealer shipments, Deep Sea containerised orders, D2C (Direct to Consumer) e-commerce orders). Organise the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods, taking into account the type of goods and the customers' delivery requirements, using the services of courier companies, shipping lines, airlines and road freight operators (palletised and parcel). Manage fulfilment of Parts and Accessories both from the centre and in market as well as stock for finished goods globally across the supply chain network and in various global fulfilment centres. Provide on-going 3PL performance analysis and KPI management along with input for supplier selection given the rapidly growing logistics footprint required to support business growth. The job holder will be responsible for managing the continued development and implementation of a global trade compliance program. Acting as the corporate trade compliance representative you will be responsible for assuring compliance of import/export activities in the company and for global trade compliance programs by country. Work closely with the Head of Planning to ensure that any logistics constraints or capacity issues are highlighted to the business in good time and fed into the S&OP process, so that an agreed course of action and/or mitigating actions can be discussed and agreed to maintain the efficient flow of goods from manufacturing to both B2B and D2C customers. Ensure that any agreed product priorities or customer allocations are processed efficiently. Introduction and management of HMRC regimes to cover stock control and BOM activities to enable effective control and compliance with HMRC regimes. Be the logistics lead and advisor to ensure that the ERP systems fully support the legal, regulatory and customer requirements of the business and that any required developments are scoped with the IT team to enable better and more accurate control of inputs and outputs. To assist in the formation of logistics strategy to enable an increased gross margin to be generated by assessing the end-to-end cost of sale through optimisation of international taxes, costs and duties and how to reduce these costs where legally allowable. Manage the Logistics function which comprises of the following teams: Dispatch team Import/export team Fulfilment team (omni-channels) Parts & Accessories function including warehouse kitting and pick/pack activities. Oversee short duration projects relating to transportation, logistics, export regulations and related functions. Provide direction for IT systems improvements and changes to operational requirements. Investigate and plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking account of the hazardous nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security. Tender or negotiate freight and warehousing contracts, transportation and handling costs. Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications and compliance with overseas countries' regulations and fiscal regimes. Offer consolidation services by air, sea and road, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions to small customers who have insufficient cargo to organise their own freight collections. Develop partnerships and liaise with third parties to move goods (by road, rail, air or sea) in accordance with customer requirements. Arrange insurance and assist the client in the event of a claim. Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight. Ensure that packaging complies with the regulations and specific measures for each country and type of transport. Dangerous goods control for all modes of transportation, including oversight of required training and enforcement of rules and regulations. Effective management of reverse logistics based on business, customer or manufacturing needs. Check and verify shipping records, handle questions or concerns relating to shipping shortages or overages and address problems with inventory control. Responsible for logistics budgeting, equipment and liaison with Customer Service. Verification and authorisation of supplier invoices. Monthly Management Report & KPI metrics. Customs Compliance Duties: Prepare all import/export customs documentation. Control new parts classification and License Determination and ensure all goods are correctly classified according to the Customs Tariff and Customs Compliance. Ensure that the companys import and export operations are carried out in accordance with both Customs Law and Regulations and International Compliance Programs. Supervise and control the Inward/Outward procedures relief (IPR). Control and Administration of the AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) of the company. Country of origin determination. Customer / Customer screening. International INCOTERMS. Duty and Customs Control. Monthly management and review of the MSS data. Lead and conduct entity audits to determine export/import compliance and implement improvement projects including but not limited to Markings, Country of Origin and Harmonized Parts Classification. Lead search initiatives for duty reduction opportunities on Misclassification of Parts and Customs Rulings. Introduction of HMRC solutions for duty optimisation and or compliance requirements. Develop and implement risk assessments/gap analysis on International Trade issues within each region/country in which the company has legal entities. Research and provide technical assistance in interpretation of laws/regulations, product description, harmonized tariff codes, country of origin and for the resolution of all import/export compliance issues for the region/country. Work with global counterparts to ensure common approaches, best practices and corrective action implementation. Completion and continued maintenance of import & export compliance procedure manuals. Support compliance requirements and recommendations with other related internal organisations globally to maintain continuity with corporate trade compliance direction.
