About the Role: As the Business Development Manager, you will be a key player in the companies growth strategy for the East region. This role is working closely with management and the support office in both supporting existing customers and identifying new customers and applications aimed at further growth in the company turnover and profit. To help generate turnover at customers and represent the sales efforts of DUK for SPD products and solutions. Your role will be integral in driving the business forward, ensuring that sales targets are met, customer satisfaction is maintained, and your region is represented with excellence. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the smooth communication between departments, ensuring all objectives are achieved. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday Fridays 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM 8:30AM to 3:00PM Key Duties: 1. Contributing to the Sales Budget: o Act as the customer contact for daily business opportunities and ordering. o Support the efforts to achieve the sales budget of DUK. 2. Providing Technical Support: o Offer technical support to customers. o Support the first level of support in higher clarifications when needed. 3. Customer Communication: o Maintain high standards of customer communication throughout all steps leading to a binding order from the customers. 4. Project and Offer Data Bank: o Prepare and update a project/offer data bank shared with management and the support office. 5. Customer Call Plan and Reporting: o Establish and update a customer call plan. o Maintain an opportunity reporting data bank in the current system used by the company. 6. Strategic Tasks: o Undertake strategic tasks as determined by DUK/DSE that require both planning and implementation within the UK region. 7. Safety Procedures and Policies: o Adhere to all company and departmental safety procedures and policies as indicated in the company handbook. 8. Liaison with Various Departments: o Liaise with sales, internal office, financial, technical, and operations personnel to ensure that planned objectives supporting the business are achieved. 9. Target Agreement and Achievement: o Agree on and adopt targets with management on an annual basis. o Aim to improve the business within DUK. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a sales role, preferably in the electrical or technical products industry. Proven experience in sales, ideally within the electrical or technical products sector. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
