Why are we recruiting?

To keep up to date with the latest in the technology space, we need people who are passionate about a vast range of operating systems, devices, applications, and software. Our Application support team now has an opportunity for that passionate person to join the team and help them drive and evolve our support function.
This position will have a mix of remote and onsite working, with 2-3 days a week in the office.
What will you be doing?
You will provide technical and application support to our retail estate. This includes two main terminals which are spread across 30,000 sites. You will implement changes and fix any incidents raised by retailers and other departments at PayPoint which filter through a ticketing system. You’ll also identify root causes and flag these to our 3rd line support teams for long-term solutions. You will have the opportunity to assist with system integrations and any new installations inside our live environments. To ensure services run smoothly across the organization at all times, you may be required to work across a Rota that covers 7 days a week.
The role potentially includes joining an on-call rota in the future.

Windows-based 24/7 environment skills including 1st/2nd line support
The ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff

Experience with transaction processing systems around point of sale systems or ATMs
IIS Server knowledge
An understanding of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
Any transact SQL query knowledge would be great for us
