Job Title: PMO Manager
Duration: 9 months, extensions likely
Location: Warwick or Wokingham/Hybrid (twice per week requirement in the office)
Salary: £550 per day via Umbrella

Join our client, a leading company in the Utilities industry, on a transformative journey as a PMO Manager within their Transformation and Major Projects team. As part of our client's flexible central pool of Programme and Project professionals, you will play a key role in supporting major deliveries across the organisation. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract with scope to extend, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with programme managers and accountable subject matter experts. Your responsibilities will include project management, planning, risks, dependencies, and reporting. As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate your experience in managing projects, working flexibly, and adapting to various assignments.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide leadership and steer the PMO in the right direction
* Foster strong relationships within the Major Projects Delivery team
* Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to track and report on project progress
* Drive programme and project governance cadence
* Ensure consistency of working across the PMO and maintain a standard governance process
* Manage RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) across workstreams
* Work with Finance to ensure accurate project/programme finance reporting
About you:
* Strong experience leading a project office
* Knowledge of various PMO roles and responsibilities
* A background in process and performance improvement
* Demonstrated leadership of multiple teams
* Matrix management experience
* Ability to work with senior stakeholders and set clear expectations
