Job Description WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER BASED: Polar Speed Distribution Ltd, Danny Morson Way, Birch Coppice Business Park, Dordon, B78 1SE HOURS : 07:00 15:30 and 1530 - 0000 Hrs Monday Friday whilst training and once trained the shift is likely to be 0930 - 1800 Hrs Monday - Friday - Flexibility required to suits the needs of the business, which may be of an urgent medical nature. As one of our Warehouse Team Leaders, youll support the effective management of the day to day operations of the warehouse team, monitoring staff performance, brief the team of the daily workflows, manage the teams time, ensure picking, checking and packing of cold chain and ambient pharmaceutical products. in addition to this you will plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, assist with the collection of data and convert to the scheduled KPI reports. Act as a 1st line escalation in terms of employee or work flow issues and triage or escalate as appropriate. Hours will be typically 09 :30 hrs to 18:00hrs after the training period of working two different shift times, on a Monday to Friday basis. Flexibility with regard to hours will be required as the shift times may alter dependent on volume. The successful candidate for this role must have prior Warehouse Managerial/Team Leader experience, dealing with temperature control desired but not essential. Key responsibilities: Effectively manage the day to day operations of the warehouse team to meet demand and overall workload Monitor staff performance and carry out team briefings when required. Manage the time & attendance of the staff within the Polar Speed company protocols. Ensure picking, checking, and packing of cold chain and ambient pharmaceutical products are fulfilled Assist in the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the warehouse staff and facilities. Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods Monitor temperature compliance of all inbound/outbound consignments Monitors priority emails to assign work. Ensure the highest level of hygiene is maintained throughout the warehouse, in accordance with GDP regulations. Assist with the collection of data and report warehouse Key Performance Indicators. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other departments. Processing of Returns (including Quarantined, Damaged and Batch Recalls) Manage and co-ordinate stock take and cycle counting activities to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customer. Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level Train new Warehouse operatives within area of responsibility. Ensure staff comply to health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment. Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager When directed by a manager, undertake any other task appropriate to the skills and responsibilities of a warehouse operative. Key Skills/Experience/Requirements: Warehouse Team Lead/Managerial experience essential Good working knowledge of IT packages, Word, Excel, Internet/Intranet Good team player and decision maker with excellent leadership skills Good organisation skills, show initiative and prioritise work load An eye for detail and work well under pressure
