Your Role as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Provide dedicated, individual support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their goals. Adapt teaching strategies to suit the pupil’s learning style and needs, ensuring they feel supported and included. Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalized learning plans. Assist with social and emotional development, building a trusting relationship with the pupil. Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in the learning environment. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 or SEN support capacity. A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach to supporting individual needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with staff, pupils, and parents. Relevant qualifications such as Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2 or 3) are an advantage but not essential. A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Why Join Us?
