Assistant Availability Manager Bristol Reporting to the Availability & Performance Manager (AVPM), the primary purpose of this role is to provide Supply Chain and Asset Management services to a range of Royal Naval Sensor Systems managed by the MSET contract, whilst complying with contractual and legal Logistics commitments. The role is responsible for supporting the reliability and availability of Assets and Asset Management Performance; the coordination of logistics and documentation for all assets applicable to the MSET contract; and is focused on implementing the Supply Chain activities. Providing support to ensure that all contractual MSET KPIs/PIs are met and exceeded across all platform services and that all corrective actions are undertaken; producing metrics and reviewing regularly with the customer. Ensuring programme Dashboards are updated with accurate KPI/PI data which is then presented at the PMRs. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Work closely with the Asset Management, Digital, ILS and Obsolescence teams, support the development of provisioning tools allowing a real time, forward and backwards look of assets and availability. Support the AVPM in ensuring that all logistics management tools and processes used by Thales and the customer team are fit for purpose and regularly reviewed for efficiency and accuracy. Trend and Data analysis with the aim of standardising best practices and processes across the contract environment. Close involvement with the obsolescence management team so that the sustainability of in scope products can be monitored. Support the AVPM during internal audits and if requested, support the Asset audits conducted by the customer and GIAA at each Site and sub-contractor premises. Contribute to the annual review and update of all required asset control documentation/deliverable documents. Responsible for the compilation and delivery of the Disposal Plan on behalf of the AVPM Represent the AVPM at the weekly Logistics meeting, providing a monthly brief to AVPM. Support the AVPM at customer asset meetings. Liaise with the Customer Service Office or Operations personnel to ensure material deliveries comply with customer needs; whilst verifying the Provisioning activity is consistent with customer priorities, complies with the Asset Management Plan, and meets the requirements of all contractual KPI/PIs. Anticipate customer issues and raise alerts when appropriate, take responsibility for ensuring any arising problems or constraints are taken into account and resolved Support Annual Workshops and education sessions ensuring Optimisation and adherence to shared best practice Collate and review KPI/PI measure data ensuring it accurately captures contractual performance and is fit for customer review. Contribute to ensuring MSET Transformation activity is sufficiently supported from Asset Management function.
