Job Profile for Controls & Software Engineer - MC269937
Controls & Software Engineer required for a pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the Liverpool area. To design and develop software aspects of machinery to a project specification and in line with the project schedule and budget.
Controls & Software Engineer Position Overview
1. Confer with engineers, customers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
2. Design, implement & maintain PLC, HMI Software & SCADA systems.
3. Direct and co-ordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
4. Observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
5. Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
6. Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
7. Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem and recommend remedial measures.
8. IQ / OQ support on site. (Occasional)
Controls & Software Engineer Position Requirements
9. Software Engineering Degree or equivalent
10. WinCC and SCADA systems
11. TIA Portal, Ladder Logic
12. PLC & HMI
13. Siemens S7
14. Scripts (VB/C etc)
15. Excellent communication skills
16. Organisation and prioritisation skills
17. Excellent IT skills including MS Office
18. Ability to work as part of a team
Controls & Software Engineer Position Remuneration
19. £55k-£65k dependent on experience
20. Hybrid available
21. Early finish Fridays
