Job Title: FLT Driver / Engineer

Job Description:
We are recruiting for a reliable and experienced FLT driver to join our team in Chelmsford. The ideal candidate will have a forklift licence, a valid driving licence, and some experience in factory packing, pallet wrapping, and machine operation. A background in engineering is essential. This role involves a combination of operating forklift trucks, machine minding, and performing light engineering tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a forklift truck to move materials and goods within the warehouse.
Wrap and pack pallets for storage or dispatch, ensuring all items are securely and properly packed.
Assist with minding machines, including performing basic operations such as drilling, welding, and other light Engineering tasks.
Handle heavy lifting and materials carefully and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of materials moved, packed, and dispatched.
Ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed at all times.Requirements:
Valid FLT licence (Can be an in-house forklift licence) and a valid driving licence.
Previous experience in factory packing, pallet wrapping, and minding machines.
Basic engineering experience is an essential,
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to work.Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
