National Grid is hiring a Workforce Planning Analyst for our Customer Connections and Infrastructure Development and Delivery Teams based in our Warwick Head Office working on a hybrid basis.
About the role
As the Workforce Planning Analyst you will manage tactical workforce planning of Customer Connections and Infrastructure Development and Delivery Teams to build the workforce according to the right skills in the right locations according to business needs to successfully and efficiently deliver against our regulatory outputs throughout RIIO2 and beyond. This is a hybrid position and will involve travel to our offices and sites across England and Wales.
What you'll do
* Support Workforce Strategy Team to build the tactical workforce plan and its regular review according to business requirements.
* Perform data analysis and data visualization techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to recruitment, retention, training, capability, performance, employee demographics, and other HR metrics.
* Collect, clean, and validate HR-related data from various sources and ensure our workforce plan and reporting is of a high quality, to enable our Leadership Team to manage resourcing, retention, trainings, capability and diversity effectively.
* Monitor and track workforce metrics, prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate workforce planning insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
* Support in updating and reviewing workforce forecast according to business growth, industry trends, and other relevant factors.
What you'll need
* Strong and effective approach to building and managing business stakeholder relationships and to explaining data and concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience of working within data focused projects.
* Experience of Microsoft Excel, Power BI or other analytics tools.
* Experience of working within/closely with a HR function.
