The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and pro-active candidate to elevate our financial processes and grow with our company.
As a forward-thinking business, Procure Smart works on a basis of constant improvement and is looking for a Finance Assistant who shares this passion and lives by our company values.
This role will expose the holder to a fast-paced environment; as well as brilliant opportunities to enhance their skills and business knowledge via proximity to the MI and Data Insights Team.
Responsibilities
1. Support management with company-wide financial reporting
2. Administer colleague commission statements
3. Statement analysis, invoicing and querying
4. Bank reconciliation versus invoices
5. Payment administration and ledger
6. Collaborative working with other business teams to update business data streams and reports
7. Cash collection forecasting according to matrices
8. Daily, weekly and monthly business insight updates
Essential Skills and Experience
1. Strong mathematical skills and understanding of business financial processes
2. 12 months+ experience within a finance-based or analyst role
3. Exceptional attention to detail
4. The ability to think logically and problem solve
5. The ability to understand the role’s crucial position within the business’ success
6. Advanced Microsoft Excel user skills
7. High levels of professionalism
8. A pro-active influence on the professional environment
9. Experience of providing time-bound, highly-accurate reports to senior stakeholders and colleagues
Desirable Skills and Experience
1. Experience with Sage
2. The ability to run queries across large amounts of data in separate documents
3. Experience using PowerBI
The role reports directly into our Senior Data Insights Manager and will work as part of the team responsible for driving data-based decision making within the business. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the business’ revenue collection is on-track, pro-active and accurate.
