Sales Engineer – Job Description
Calex Electronics is looking for a Sales Engineer to help deal with interesting technical and commercial enquiries from industrial customers around the world.

Calex designs, manufactures and sells infrared temperature sensors for industries worldwide. With an enviable reputation for innovation, Calex is constantly introducing new products which utilise the latest technologies such as NFC, touch screens, OLED, fibre optics and digital networking.
What the job involves
• Dealing with technical and commercial enquiries from customers by email and telephone
• Building a close relationship with the worldwide distributor network and communicating with them effectively
• Helping to prepare product proposals, technical articles, specification sheets, instruction manuals and user guides
• Liaising with production planning, design & development teams
• Learning about the company’s products, how they work and how to apply them in different applications
• Assisting with sales administration duties as required
Skills required
• Excellent English language skills - both written and spoken
• Flexibility, enthusiasm and self-motivation
• Confidence when dealing with customers and fellow employees
• Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise workload
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Experience in sales or marketing in a manufacturing company would be an advantage
Qualifications required
A qualification in Instrumentation, Electronics Engineering or Physics to HNC, or higher is preferred.
Full in-house product training will be provided so previous knowledge of infrared thermometry is not required.
