Family Support Worker Location: Nottingham Client: Nottingham City Council Contract type: Temporary Start date: 19th January 2025 Contract length: 12 weeks Salary: £13ph Hours: 09:00am - 17:00pm Barker Ross is looking for a Family Support Worker on a temporary basis to support Nottingham City Council. The role: Supporting, setting up and reviewing short break packages for Children with Disabilities who require support to access the community whilst allowing a break for parents from their caring role. Including writing and reviewing care packages and leading with setting up short break packages. The right candidate will work directly with children, adults, parents and carers, multi-agency working and managing your own caseload. You will have experience of working with children and families who have a diagnosed disability and understand what support is available in Nottingham City for Children with Disabilities. You will have proven experience of Child Development and a good understanding of the needs as children grow. Experience of working with children who have difficulties in their life, understand the whole life strengths-based approach is essential.
