Our client's cutting-edge optics, fibre-optics, acousto-optics, and Pockels cells are critical to medical research and applications worldwide. This role is based at the UK Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences in Ashford, Kent.
Role Overview:
This role requires a driven and flexible individual that can multitask, plan, schedule, manage time effectively and coordinate various tasks to tight time scales. You will need to be a verbally confident candidate capable of driving internal and external presentations using PowerPoint.
Generation and maintenance of project plans, coordinating internal resource and problem solving effectively where required through to a state of business as usual within manufacturing.
You will work closely with the QA team to generate Process Validation documentation as per the project plan requirements, these documents shall be to a satisfactory standard to pass ISO13485, FDA, MDR audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Taking ownership for a project and delivery of its output in a timely manner.
* Appropriate management of cross-functional resources. Ability to manage through competing priorities to ensure the project stays on time and on budget. Resources to include international strategic supply chain partners.
* Obtaining an in-depth technical knowledge of a project and its requirements. Ability to politely change if required.
* Oversee the management of projects, ensuring they are completed to company standards and the client’s satisfaction, on time and on budget.
* Identify and carrying our preventative action to pull back project overrun.
* Generate and update project plans.
* Ensure the project follows company procedures and is developed to the correct regulatory frameworks.
* Keep accurate project notes and financial accounting to ensure an accurate picture of the projects progress is kept.
* Process Validation and execution generation and execution assistance.
* Identify opportunities for further work packets that can be proposed upon.
* Periodic travel to client sites as the company’s representative, both UK and abroad.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
* CPM, PMP, or Prince 2 certification (preferred).
* Strong understanding of Electronics and Mechanics.
* Experience with Validation, Verification, and technical documentation.
* Proficient in MS Project or similar tools.
* Capable of managing projects from verification to completion.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
* Experience with ERP systems and process validation.
* 13485/MDR training (advantage).
* Effective communicator, negotiator, and problem-solver.
* Leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
* Team player with a customer-focused attitude.
* Able to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
* Flexible schedule for international meetings.
