Customer Service Advisor - Fraud Handler
Sector: Customer Services
Role: Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £22,308 per year
At Virgin Media O2, we're not just about keeping people connected; we're about making every interaction meaningful. As a Fraud Handler, you will be a calming and reassuring ear for our TV, telephone, broadband, and mobile customers in stressful situations when suspected fraud cases arise. You'll spot trends, provide valuable insights, and work closely with teams across Virgin Media O2 to make sure everything's handled swiftly and smoothly.
What you'll be doing
* Be the go-to person for investigating fraud reports, knowing when to handle things yourself and when to call in extra help.
* Get customer accounts back on track - sort out any issues, apply credits, and share tips to keep their account secure.
* Check in with customers to make sure they're happy with how things were handled before closing the case.
Training
Your journey starts in a full-time induction and training programme (9am-5pm, in the office). After that, you'll move to a 37.5-hour work week, with shifts between 8am and 8pm. You'll have the flexibility to work remotely for three days a week and spend two days in the office. Weekend work makes up around 20% of your schedule.
The must haves
* You must live within a commutable distance of our Birmingham office (by Birmingham airport).
* You must be able to work some weekends (approximately 20% of your schedule, which will come with enhanced pay).
The other stuff we are looking for
* Top-notch communication skills, both written and listening, to really connect with our customers as well as being detailed and organised to keep things running smoothly.
* You enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-first environment.
* Building strong relationships is what you're passionate about, and you take pride in delivering a positive customer experience. If you've got customer service experience, great - but what matters most is your drive to learn.
What's in it for you
We believe in rewarding our people, so here's what you'll get:
* A competitive base salary of £22,308 with 20% uplift for Sunday hours.
* Private medical cover through BUPA (including upgrade options to cover loved ones), a healthcare plan, and critical illness insurance.
* Market-leading maternity and adoption (26 weeks full pay), paternity (14 weeks full pay), neonatal (12 weeks full pay), and carers leave policies (5 paid days per year).
