Are you a proactive, detail-oriented professional with experience in security management? Join our dynamic Estates & Facilities Management team as a Security Team Leader, where you'll lead a team dedicated to creating a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
* Provide leadership and oversight for the security team, ensuring 24/7 coverage and rapid response to incidents.
* Conduct routine patrols and risk assessments to maintain safety and security standards.
* Support staff in managing and de-escalating aggressive or distressed individuals.
* Liaise with external agencies such as police and fire services as required.
* Maintain and analyse security data, including CCTV and body camera footage, adhering to GDPR and Trust protocols.
* Manage team schedules, approve leave requests, and ensure optimal service coverage.
* Participate in training and mentoring new team members.

Qualifications
Essential
GCSE pass in English Language and Maths, or equivalent.
IT Skills and competencies sufficient for the role.
Desirable
Certificate in Breakaway Techniques training.
Training in Conflict Resolution management.
Aggression and Violence training or equivalent.
First Aid.
Experience
Essential
Willing to undertake ongoing training and updates as required in relation to the role and Trust mandatory training.
Desirable
Experience of working in complex or similar type of organisation.
Use of CCTV.
Additional Criteria
Essential
Ability to de-escalate aggression and violent situations.
Desirable
To be able to assist in the investigation and management of crime and non-crime incidents.
