Overview
WE are a local family business looking for a Pharmacy Dispenser. to join our team at The Pharmacist, Seacroft, Leeds. You will have a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a thorough understanding of pharmacy operations, including medication administration and patient interactions.
Duties
* Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing medications as necessary.
* Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosage instructions, and potential side effects.
* Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure proper documentation is completed for all transactions.
* Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
* Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
* Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with reordering supplies when necessary.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is required.
* Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and inventory management.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on pharmaceutical practices.
