Commercial Research Analyst | Global Broadcasting Business | London/Hybrid The Business Our client is a world-leading TV and Film broadcasting business with a global presence, managing several subsidiaries with a focus on factual and documentary programming. The business has a strong streaming and online presence and continues to grow despite ongoing challenges in the wider TV and Film industry, with a keen, adaptive eye on the market and delivering what consumers are looking for in their entertainment. With a global presence and regional revenue of £100mil, our client has made a name for themselves as a resilient and exciting broadcasting business ahead of the game. The role is hybrid with 2 days expected in-office and 3 work from home. The Role: We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Research Analyst to join an exciting and dynamic team. This position reports directly into the Director of Insights and works closely with commercial, finance, and product teams- giving you exposure to quite senior and capable members of the business to partner with and learn from. You'd be responsible for performance measurement and reporting on KPI's across multiple digital products to drive strategic decision-making for the business and support more accurate forecasting for the finance team. As the business grows their presence across the world, you'd play a key role in providing the analysis and insights to support the senior members on this journey. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in a commercially focused data or insights role within a digital/media business or a business operating with a subscription model. The ability to work with complex data sets and financial data, analyse trends and performance, and communicate these findings in digestible reports for cross-functional team members is integral. Previous experience in data visualisation and forecasting or modelling is desired. Exposure to Power BI/SQL/Python in some capacity ideal as well. Responsibilities: Deliver regular performance reports and analysis for digital products across the business Track KPIs, industry trends, competitor data, and commercial performance Support the finance department with forecasting and reforecasting, as well as any other models as needed Respond to data queries with analysis when requested by external departments Analyse commercial data covering the likes of audience behaviour, brand performance, and product trends Provide analysis, modelling, and reporting to senior leadership to guide growth strategies Support with process and tool improvement Ad hoc tasks to support the Director of Insights What we need to see (essential): At least 2 years' experience in analytics within a commercial business A working knowledge of either Python, SQL, or Power BI Exposure to subscription models, media, social media, or digital products A passion for the film and TV industries Salary: £38,000-£42,000 Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days work from home) Ideal Start: ASAP If this is of interest, please get in touch with your CV at or give me a call on 0203 773 3530 Due to the high volume of applications, we are receiving, if you have not heard back from us, please assume your application was unfortunately unsuccessful on this occasion.
