An international business with multiple locations across the UK is recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant to focus on Fixed and Lease Assets, ensuring the application of best practice and effective controls across the business. Working within a shared services environment and closely with the relevant stakeholders the key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant include:
* Reporting, forecasting and budgeting of fixed and lease assets, to ensure compliance with company, statutory and audit requirements.
* Management of the fixed and leased asset registers to ensure correct accounting treatment of additions, disposal and depreciation policy, completeness, valuation and impairment.
* Preparation of Fixed and Lease Asset balance sheet reconciliations.
* Supporting periodic impairment review of Fixed and Lease assets.
* Administration of the IFRS 16 BPC tool and associated accounting.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant role will:
* Possess a strong technical accounting background in statutory reporting and relevant standards.
* Have a good knowledge of Fixed and Lease accounting.
* Be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
