Job Overview
North Cumbria Community Treatment Team is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Specialist. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic clinician with suitable leadership and experience to join our collective leadership team.
The successful candidate will work directly into the Community Treatment Team, covering both East and West of the North Cumbria area, providing clinical leadership, supervision, and training to team members.
Main Duties of the Job
* Contribute to the strategic direction for the development of nursing practice within the North Cumbria CBU.
* Lead in extending boundaries and creating frameworks for the enhancement of nursing within their specialty.
* Strive towards excellence in nursing care and communicate this excellence to colleagues.
* Work with the Nurse Consultant on nursing developments within this specialist area of practice.
* Offer 'specialist practice' within the service for up to 80% of the post.
* Provide professional leadership and advice, including clinical supervision.
* Participate in service development of staff and a range of other agencies.
* Undertake audit and related activities in clinical practice, therapeutic intervention, and service evaluation.
* Contribute to the strategic development of the nursing strategy for CNTW.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* First Level Registered Nurse RNMH, RMN, RNLD
* Postgraduate qualification/Recognized teaching qualification/Evidence of continuous professional development
* Experience in Therapeutic interventions relevant to working with enduring mental health problems
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience working within areas relevant to the designated team.
* Involvement in service development changes.
* Awareness of the evolving healthcare agenda and implications for nursing.
* Experience of audit and facilitating quality improvement in practice.
* Experience in training and education.
Skills and Competencies
* Ability to work across professional and organizational boundaries.
* Interpersonal skills.
