Role Outline The Group Accountant will contribute towards the preparation and submission of the statutory accounts for all 20 entities across multiple jurisdictions within EMEA whilst facilitating the interim and year-end audits. The Group Accountant will also support the month-end process to ensure that we report to our U.S counterparts accurately and within the designated timeframes. Core Responsibilities Coordinate with the various departments, for the external audit. Provide the auditors any deliverables required for them to complete their audit fieldwork and if recommendations are made, incorporate these into the day-to-day activities of the management accountants Prepare and submit FRS101 financial statements for all the UK entities within the filing deadlines, including assisting with the Group consolidated financial statements. Liaise with external accountants to ensure all non-UK financial statements submission deadlines are met and within their local GAAP requirements Review the monthly intercompany differences and revenue/expense eliminations checks. Supporting our US counterparts with annual audit related financials. Calculate and post the quarterly interest on intercompany balances Support the bid team with any requests that they have in relation to bids as well as creating and maintaining the share point Liaise with the Sustainability Reporting Specialist to assist with financials for sustainability reporting, such as SECR. Maintaining thresholds checklist for all financial reporting. Ad hoc financial analysis and investigative tasks Carrying out of such ad-hoc tasks as required by the Group Statutory Reporting Manager and/or Financial Controller/Director Skills and Knowledge Part Qualified (finalist) with ACCA / ACA / CIMA Knowledge of external audit / experience in audit within Practice is desirable Fully PC literate with the ability to use the MS suite Aptitude for continual learning and development with different systems, applications and multiple software packages Ability to use IT packages, mainly Excel to analyse and manipulate data Previous recruitment or similar industry background is desirable Previous experience of FCCS (Financial consolidation and close) is desirable Experience of multi-currency Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP Behaviors Highly organised, attentive and solution orientated High level of attention to detail Active listening skills and strong communication skills Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines Process driven High level of numeric and analytic ability Capable of working competently with diverse groups of people, data and processes accommodating an everchanging environment.
