A bit about the role As Deputy Manager you will play a vital role in supporting the overall management and operation of our nursery. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education and is committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. You will assist in the nursery's Senior Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high quality care and education. You will be responsible for supporting staff development, leading training initiatives, and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Additionally, you will engage with parents and families building strong relationships to enhance the nurseries experience for everyone involved. As a supernumerary position, this role allows you to focus on management and leadership responsibilities without being tied to a specific ratio, enabling you to dedicate more time to mentoring staff and enhancing the overall quality of care. What we need from you Our Job Description outlines the requirements of the role, but the 'must haves' are: Minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years. Leadership or management experience, in a childcare setting. Experience of working in a senior role within a nursery setting or centre working with children aged 0 to 5 years and their families. Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements and relevant current legislation. Understanding of child protection processes, safeguarding and working with vulnerable children.
