As an Accounts Payable Finance Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced accounts department. You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of Liquidline's ledger, and will work closely with our suppliers. You will report into the Transactional Finance Team Leader working as part of the small team to ensure all purchase ledger tasks are completed, and our suppliers are paid to agreed terms.
The Role - Accounts Payable Finance Assistant
* To support the Transactional Finance Team Leader in ensuring all supplier records are maintained accurately, and in a timely manner.
* To create and maintain supplier master data, ensuring that supplier bank detail process is complete.
* To post supplier invoices onto the purchase ledger.
* To match supplier invoices to purchase orders, and to work to resolve all discrepancies internally.
* To ensure all invoices in dispute are placed on hold and released upon resolution which may involve ensuring a credit note is received and processed correctly.
* Posting payments including direct debit, and proforma onto the ledger.
* Ensuring all managers are kept up to date with any actions required.
* Reconcile supplier statements.
* Maintain supplier information, and keep on top of the email inbox.
What You Will Need in the Role of Accounts Payable Finance Assistant
* You will be numerate and have a desire to work within a finance function (experience in accounts payable would be an advantage)
* Knowledge of good customer service
* IT proficient, with a good understanding of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, is highly organised
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Positive, 'can do' attitude
* Responsive, with a service-driven approach to deliver the 'wow' factor
* A good team player
