An exciting opportunity to work within this fast-paced environment, helping to oversee the successful delivery of one of the largest highways maintenance contracts in the UK. Working with other technical experts to provide sound contract management within the technical area of Environmental Maintenance.
This area covers all aspects of:
* Street Cleaning
* Ground Maintenance and Arboriculture
* Winter Maintenance
Within Sheffield City Council's publicly adopted highway area.
This role will entail:
* Analysis of sites and data in relation to performance management citywide.
* Participation in site-based work to ascertain service levels (either as part of formal survey work or ad-hoc checks).
* Planning, co-ordination, and reporting on both formal and informal site checks.
* Meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
* Providing sound technical knowledge to members and other decision-makers within the council, including current legislation and codes of practice.
* Providing detailed knowledge in relation to the contract specification and desired outcomes to a variety of stakeholders via written responses and verbal communication in a variety of settings.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year, and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time, or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
