PS Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a senior community support worker to work with our fantastic client offering support in their home based in Wythenshaw, and supporting children and families across Manchester. This position will be based at our clients homes in Wythenshaw supporting young people with Autism and/or learning disabilities
It is essential that the successful support worker has a minimum of 12 months experience working in a similar role. The purpose of this job is to provide physical, health, emotional and social care to the young people being looked after.
A DBS check covering both adults and children is essential for this position.
A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role.
This role is worked on a 7-day rota, with 2 days off, including some weekends.
Earliest shift starts at 8am, latest ending 10pm.
Duties of this role as a senior community support worker will include
Providing a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment
Supporting with domestic duties
Key working responsibilities
Maintaining a good level of awareness around health and safety and safeguarding
Supporting children with complex needs
Contribute to development, implementation and review of systems and policies
Maximising educational opportunities
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with communities, carers and families
Regularly assess needs and coordinate plans
Adhering to all health and safety and safeguarding at all times
