The University's Finance team has an opportunity for a Management Accountant working within the Management Accounts team, providing information, guidance and support to budget holders on managing their income and expenditure. You will need to:
1. Work closely with budget holders highlighting where adverse variances have occurred and advising on appropriate action to be taken;
2. Take responsibility for the completion of monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets for your areas;
3. Support the annual accounts and returns processes for the University;
4. Advise budget holders of the financial impact of income-generating or cost-saving initiatives, for example new course proposals and changes to existing courses.
This is an exciting role within the Finance team, and you will need to be proactive and able to influence others to drive change and efficiencies.
