Responsibilities Responsibilities Senior Data Centre Inventory Manager, EMEA JOB DESCRIPTION: Manage all elements of inventory across EMEA data centers including staffing, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, inventory accuracy and handling, managing daily transactions, and ensuring proper inventory controls. The Senior Data Centre Inventory Manager, EMEA is a member of the Data Center Leadership team and is responsible for engaging their team in driving and supporting the success of the inventory function. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Key Accountabilities • Maintain optimal efficiency through strong global processes, effective min/max levels, and the implementation of Kanban where appropriate • Develop and implement best in class standards and procedures including the organization of storage rooms, labeling, 5S, re-order points, and cycle counts • Lead a highly engaged team that delivers strong performance • Help to ensure accuracy and integrity in the financial system through meticulous work standards, housekeeping, ESD compliance and controls • Ensure accurate inventory levels to minimize stock-outs and inventory shrink while supporting the needs of the business. • Track all inventory related metrics and perform root cause analysis where appropriate to address gaps and drive continuous improvement • Develop, support, and adhere to global processes and policies to ensure consistency across data center regions. • Oversee the inventory function and staff across the region, partnering with peers and Data Center managers in other regions to ensure global success. • Responsible for adhering to company security and control policies and procedures as directed • Maintain direct contact with internal customers throughout the entire supply chain with efforts to minimize cost, shorten delivery times, and maximize quality. • Identify opportunities to further reduce costs, cycle time, and total cost of ownership. • Sponsor, support and provide strong collaboration with the global supply chain group in development of key global suppliers and the supply chain. • Own cycle count accuracy, RMA and ordering SLA, and process all transactions in a way to minimize damage or loss. • Cross Collaborate with other teams within OCI including regional inventory control teams, delivery teams etc. Key Performance Indicators (against each key accountability) • Cleanly run and highly organized stock rooms with visual controls • A highly engaged and motivated inventory team • Effective stocking levels and processes are maintained to ensure inventory availability to meet the needs of the business • Accurate stock cycle counting, planning reports and budgeting. • Excellent communication between data center management, asset management team, and key stakeholders fostering a high feeling of goodwill between the teams • Implement and further develop and support the Global Supply Chain Strategy ROLE DIMENSIONS Financial (budget, delegated authority etc) • Place orders on time to avoid stock-outs, while avoiding overstock situations. • Performance Management/Promoting of staff, final decision maker for teams below your reports. • Analyzing costs to identify potential savings Non –Financial (number of staff, number of sites) • Lead a team of 5 running on different shifts across multiple countries • Delegate effectively to team members • Collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders across the global organization PERSON SPECIFICATION: Criteria of Role – • Solid understanding of Inventory processes in a mission critical environment • Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities in a high-pressure environment • A strong working knowledge of MS Office and Oracle • A strong commitment to exceptionally high standards in the work environment • Ability to seek out areas for improvement as well as planning and enacting such changes • General to expert knowledge of purchasing principles and practices • Prior knowledge of a technology-based service oriented industry preferred • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Experience in handling multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize a highly varied work level in order to maintain required productivity level • Demonstrated leadership skills and qualities and experience of leading a high performing team • General understanding of supplier management techniques • Strong project management skills • Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand • Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups • Strong business acumen and a bias for action • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience • Ability to communicate effectively on all levels, both to senior managers and leadership as well as their own team(s). • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, staff, suppliers, and others encountered in the course of work.
