Process Engineer, Liversedge Plant Effective Date: June 2024 Description The Process Engineer provides support to the Shift Leaders and their teams. They will be the process expert onsite for the manufacturing lines to optimise the lines performance to support the vision of the site. Identify losses in the process, find a sustainable solution and then train and coach all appropriate employees. The Process Engineer drives improvements in safety, productivity and quality, while reducing costs and assuring environmental compliance. The Process Engineer uses their people leadership and engineering skills to drive plant performance using their continuous improvement experience to support the manufacturing of quality products. The Process Engineer reports to the Process Engineering Leader. Responsibilities Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities. Educate team members on safe operations of new processes or modifications. Effectively communicate Owens Corning’s stand on safety throughout the operations department to ensure front line leaders and employees believe in and behave in a manner that supports our stand that all accidents are preventable, safety is everyone’s responsibility, and that working safely is a condition of employment at Owens Corning. Effectively communicate Owens Corning’s stand of safety with external parties, and make sure they work according to our safety standards. TPM All aspects of this role must utilise the TPM methodologies used within OC. Continuous Improvement Identifying through data collection and analysis areas within the process to improve safety, quality and productivity. Applying experience and knowledge in continuous improvement and engineering to eliminate losses. Creating a sustainable solution to prevent reoccurrence of losses. Coaching, training and education of all appropriate employees to enable the solutions to be embedded into the process. Project Leadership Leading and managing projects for the Production Department. Utilising the resources on site for the successful of all projects. Communicating with the teams/site on project status. People Development Coach and upskill the process knowledge and capabilities of the Shift Leaders and their teams, in line with loss elimination data. Actively promotes and creates a culture of effective cross-functional team work to improve plant performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Plant Stability and Sustainability Responsible for leading and organising production downtime planning process with appropriate teams. Responsible for ensuring project KPI’s are maintained for a minimum period of 12 months, following project completion. Actively monitors and analysis data and root cause to ensure KPI’s are maintained to the agreed levels.
