An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA), based in Slough, in the Connected Persons Team. In this pivotal role, you will support children and families through kinship and connected person placements, ensuring they are safe, suitable, and nurturing.

Position Overview: As the central point of contact, you will oversee SGO and Kinship assessments, viability assessments, and non-agency adoption evaluations. Collaborating closely with allocated social workers, you'll ensure that each child receives tailored, compassionate support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of connected persons.
2. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with families.
3. Oversee workshops for prospective Special Guardians and kinship carers.
4. Maintain accurate records and prepare court reports.
5. Monitor and report on outcomes and placement effectiveness.
Qualifications:
1. Recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
2. Significant experience in children's social care, focusing on connected persons and kinship placements.
Essential Skills:
1. Strong assessment and analytical skills.
2. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
3. Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and frameworks.
4. Ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
