Start Date: After May Half Term (with continuation in September) Contract: Full Time (Monday – Friday) Location: Leyland We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Leyland. This is a full-time role supporting children across Key Stage 1, with a particular focus on speech and language development, phonics, and transition support for children entering EYFS in September. About the Role: Support pupils across KS1 with their learning and communication needs Deliver targeted speech and language interventions in small groups or 1:1 Confidently support and deliver phonics (preferably using a systematic synthetic phonics approach) Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to develop and adapt learning plans Be prepared to support in EYFS from September, helping new starters settle into school life About You: Previous experience in a KS1 classroom is essential Strong knowledge and experience delivering phonics Experience or interest in speech and language interventions Comfortable and confident working within Early Years as needed Enthusiastic, nurturing, and flexible in your approach to support all learners About the School: You’ll be joining a friendly and inclusive primary school with a strong commitment to pupil development and staff wellbeing.
