The role
As a Risk Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As a part of our team in Rosyth, you’ll play a key part in supporting the Type 31 Frigate programme, a new ‘Inspiration’ class of frigates that will be at the heart of the Royal Navy’s surface fleet. This role performs a range of complex technical/operating activities of Risk Management within the programme. You'll use your indepth level of knowledge, skill, and qualifications to perform specialised work across a broad range of processes, procedures, and systems, with direction from the Project Controls Manager and/or the Head of Project. You'll ensure that risks are not only managed but incorporated into the day-to-day execution of the project and the associated baseline for reporting.
Day-to-day, you’ll Support the sites Risk Discipline lead in generating risk strategies and frameworks. You will also develop and implement the Project Risk Management plan, and deliver weekly/monthly updates to risk registers and mitigation actions within RiskHive.
* Provide QRA analysis within the company's toolsets – SRA’s and CRA’s for the project.
* Develop and implement Risk Management policies, procedures, process and instructions within the project.
* Establish and implement Risk Management Governance within the project
* Communicate the projects position on Risk Management to internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage the risk outputs assurance process, including data, analysis and reporting
* Develop and assure training material/support to all stakeholders.
This role is full time 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Risk Manager
* Extensive relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
* Extensive experience of designing and implementing Risk Management methodologies, processes, systems and tools
* Advanced risk & opportunity management techniques
* Full project lifecycle experience working on complex and major projects
* Experienced in various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC/JCT)
Qualifications for the Risk Manager
* Project Planning and Controls – Practitioner
* APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
* Management of Risk
* Practitioner or APM Risk Level
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
