Temporary Teaching Assistant – PMLD Class (SEN Primary School, Skelmersdale)
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) class in a specialist SEN primary school in Skelmersdale. This temporary role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
Contract: 22nd April – 19th July (Full-time, Term-time Only)
Location: Skelmersdale
Role: Supporting students with PMLD, assisting with personal care, sensory learning activities, and communication strategies.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proactive and able to use initiative in a classroom setting
* Passionate about working with children with complex needs
* Comfortable with personal care and physical support
* Experience in SEN is beneficial but not essential – the right attitude and willingness to learn are key
