Description
The Security and Safety team plays a vital role in ensuring that Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park remains a safe, welcoming, and vibrant destination for visitors, residents, and businesses. As a key part of the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), the team is responsible for protecting people, assets, and infrastructure while maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment. With world-class venues, dynamic public spaces, and a calendar of high-profile events, security at the Park is critical to its ongoing success and reputation.
As Security Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering a comprehensive security strategy, ensuring the seamless coordination of security personnel across the Park and its venues. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Metropolitan Police, venue operators, and local authorities, to monitor and mitigate emerging threats, manage incident response, and oversee crowd safety during both everyday operations and major events. You will also play a pivotal role in crisis management, risk assessment, and the integration of digital security technologies to drive an intelligence-led approach.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced security professional to make a real impact in a dynamic and high-profile environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting, have a passion for public safety, and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver outstanding operational security, we would love to hear from you.
Is it for you?
Are you a proactive and experienced security professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment where safety, collaboration, and strategic thinking are key? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need proven experience in security operations management, ideally within large public spaces, venues, or events. You’ll have a strong understanding of risk assessment, crisis management, and incident response, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including law enforcement, venue operators, and external partners—to ensure the safety of people, assets, and infrastructure.
Your ability to lead teams, build relationships, and communicate effectively will be essential, as you’ll be working closely with security personnel, external agencies, and key stakeholders across the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Experience in crowd safety management, threat intelligence, and using digital security technologies (such as CCTV and access control systems) will be highly valuable.
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, capable of using data to produce security reports and briefings to inform decision-making and keep security operations intelligence-led. Additionally, experience managing budgets and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding policies will be beneficial.
Most importantly, you’ll bring a calm, confident, and solutions-focused approach, able to handle both day-to-day security challenges and high-pressure situations with professionalism and efficiency. If you’re passionate about public safety and want to be part of a team that keeps this world-class destination secure, we’d love to hear from you.
