Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented People Administrator to join our People and Culture (P&C) team for a 12-month period, undertaking a variety of administrative tasks and HR systems support. The ideal candidate will be a highly organised individual with advanced IT literacy, preferably with previous experience of working with HR systems and payroll. With a strong commitment to confidentiality, and a genuine passion for supporting employees and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide general administrative support to the People and Culture team.
* Provide cover for payroll input and HR system maintenance.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
* Handle correspondence and maintain filing systems for P&C
* Support the P&C team in organising employee benefits, payroll, and other HR-related paperwork.
* Assist with the implementation of employee engagement initiatives and surveys.
* Act as a point of contact for general P&C enquiries from employees.
* Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to assist with continuous improvement of people and culture initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Previous administrative experience, ideally within a People and Culture or Human Resources is desirable.
* Familiarity with HR and payroll software is an advantage.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant computer applications.
* High level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee and organisational information.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to take initiative and learn new skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A "people person" with strong interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organisation.
* A positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic.
* Diligent with a strong attention to detail
* Eagerness to learn and grow within the People and Culture field.
* Customer-oriented with a passion for helping others and improving workplace culture.
