People Officer, Hybrid, London 12 month fixed term contract The People Officer works closely with the People Partners and the wider People team. They are responsible for delivering a high-quality service to the business with direction and strategy being provided by the Director of HR. The People Officer will offer support to the People Team including in relation to employment relation issues, recruitment (especially the new starter and leaver processes), performance management administration and providing support to managers and staff on the practical application of People policies and practices. Key Accountabilities Provides general administrative support to the People Team. To ensure People Team meetings, including People Operations Meetings, People Transformation Meetings, are conducted in an organised manner including agendas, supporting documents and up-to-date action logs. Assists in diary management for the People Team as required. Assists in promoting People initiatives. To coordinate the People Teams yearly communications plan. Ensure people communications are planned in a timely manner. To coordinate the Workforce Planning Process for approvals and inductions for new joiners alongside L&D. To maintain and keep current and up to date People Team pages and information on the Pay.UK intranet, Pulse. To co-ordinate and produce data for regular KPI reports and Organisation charts for regulatory requirements. To work with People Team suppliers including contracting, invoice administration and tracking and relationship management. To assist the Director of HR and Head of People Operations with Health and Wellbeing and Colleague Engagement Strategies. Supports the People Team recruitment activities as needed, scheduling, supporting and recording recruitment activity as required. To coordinate colleague vetting checks and arrange for rechecks where necessary to ensure compliance with Pay.UK’s Screening and Security Clearance Policy. To undertake other ‘ad hoc’ support as needed across the People team. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Educated to ‘A level’ or similarly qualified - essential. CIPD Certificate - essential. Previous work experience in an HR team - essential. An all-around HR generalist, with experience in HR administration; and delivered proven results as an HR Officer in a complex and heavily regulated environment Experienced collecting, processing, preparing and analysing People information including but not limited to benefits, employee information, L&D information, candidate information, and working with an advanced HR system. Experienced in working in a Business Partner and Centre of Expertise setting Experienced in handling highly sensitive information Demonstrable experience of working at pace, in a busy customer focused team, to specific deadlines. Experience of managing and creating reports and KPI dashboards would be beneficial. Effective planning and organisational skills; ability to organise priorities and meet deadlines.
